Offer caps and fallback paths

Limit eligible delivery and check what happens when a cap is reached.

Define the limit

Use the offer's available CAP settings for the metric and period you intend to limit. A click cap and a conversion cap measure different things. Check the period, reset behavior and timezone shown by the settings.

Configure a safe route

  1. Identify which campaigns or rotations use the offer.
  2. Set the intended cap in its supported controls.
  3. Ensure another eligible destination or fallback path exists.
  4. Save and inspect the effective campaign distribution.

A cap can remove an offer from eligible distribution. It does not automatically create a replacement destination or stop an external traffic source from sending clicks.

Verify without disrupting live traffic

Use an isolated low-volume test configuration. Compare recorded counts with the selected metric, then inspect the route when the offer is unavailable. Do not lower a cap on an active shared offer just to exercise the boundary.

Investigate early or late limits

Check whether several campaigns share the offer, whether statistics use the same time range and whether conversions arrived after the original click. Partner-side caps are separate from Nevect's controls; keep both aligned before scaling traffic.
