Costs, payouts and currencies
Keep source cost, conversion revenue and currency handling consistent.
Separate cost from payout
Cost is what you spend on traffic. Payout is conversion revenue. CPC, CPM and CPA describe different cost models; selecting the wrong model can change the scale or timing of recorded cost.
Configure cost
Set the campaign's cost type and currency. For automatic cost, map a source macro that supplies the expected value and verify one actual incoming request before enabling Auto. A CPM input represents a per-thousand basis rather than a per-click amount.
Configure payout
Use the partner's payout and currency in the postback, or the intended fixed offer payout. Check status schemes and Upsell behavior before repeated billing notifications. Keep the partner's actual decimal and currency format.
Reconcile a small sample
| Value | Compare against |
|---|---|
| Click count | Source logs for the same period and timezone |
| Recorded cost | The actual incoming macro or configured cost model |
| Conversion payout | Partner event and postback payload |
| Profit | Revenue minus cost |
| ROI | Profit relative to cost; zero-cost rows need separate interpretation |
Corrections
Use the supported cost or conversion correction workflow for a precise scope. Preserve the original values and reason. A partner's billing total can differ from a click-time estimate; do not hide that difference by changing an unrelated payout or time range.
